- Service
- AI note capture, transcription, rewriting, export, and sharing
Short Version
- You own the notes, recordings, uploaded files, pasted text, links, tags, folders, writing styles, and other content you add to Notewarp.
- Notewarp processes your content to transcribe audio, generate cleaned notes, create versions, search, export, sync, and share what you ask it to share.
- AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Review generated notes before relying on them or sending them to someone else.
- Your notes are private to your account unless you create and enable a public note link. Public links can optionally include audio, links, attachments, and search indexing.
- Web subscriptions use Stripe. App Store subscriptions use Apple. Notewarp stores subscription status and provider identifiers, not full payment card numbers.
- You can update your profile and preferences in the app and can request or perform account deletion, subject to active paid subscriptions and legal retention needs.
Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By creating an account, using Notewarp, or buying a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you use Notewarp for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
2. What Notewarp Does
Notewarp helps you record or upload audio, paste or upload source material, import public web links, generate transcripts, clean rough content into notes, create alternate versions, organize notes with tags and folders, export content, and publish optional public note pages.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
You are responsible for your account, credentials, and the accuracy of the information you provide. You must be old enough to use online services in your location and, if required, have permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Your Content
You keep ownership of your content. You give Notewarp a limited license to host, store, transmit, display, process, transform, and share your content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service, comply with law, and follow your product choices.
Do not upload content unless you have the right to do so. If a recording contains other people, you are responsible for any consent, notice, or legal basis required where the recording is made or used.
5. AI Output
Notewarp uses AI systems for transcription, translation, title generation, note cleanup, tags, drafts, and writing-style versions. AI output may contain mistakes, omissions, or unsupported conclusions. Notewarp is not a medical, legal, financial, emergency, compliance, or professional-advice service.
6. Subscriptions and Billing
Free and Pro features may have limits, such as note count, audio duration, uploads, source types, generated versions, custom styles, tags, and processing priority. Paid plans, pricing, taxes, trials, renewals, cancellation, and refunds are shown at checkout or in the relevant app store flow.
Web checkout and billing are handled by Stripe. App Store subscriptions are handled by Apple. Manage or cancel each subscription through the provider where you purchased it. Deleting your Notewarp account may require you to cancel an active paid subscription first.
7. Public Sharing
Public note links are off until you create and enable one. Anyone with an enabled public link may view the included note content. Depending on your settings, a public note may also include tags, links, attachments, audio, and search-engine indexing. Disable or delete a public link if you no longer want that note available.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Notewarp to:
- break the law or violate someone else's rights;
- upload malware, exploit code, or intentionally harmful data;
- collect, expose, or publish private information without permission or another valid legal basis;
- create or distribute abusive, deceptive, infringing, or unlawful material;
- probe, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with Notewarp's systems or security controls.
9. Service Changes and Termination
Notewarp may change, suspend, or discontinue features when needed to improve the product, maintain security, comply with law, or manage third-party service availability. We may suspend or terminate access if an account creates risk, violates these Terms, or is used unlawfully.
10. Disclaimers and Limits
Notewarp is provided as available and as permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted access, perfect transcription, perfect AI output, or compatibility with every file, browser, device, or external service. To the extent allowed by law, Notewarp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, except where mandatory consumer or data-protection laws in your location say otherwise.
Privacy Policy
1. Data Notewarp Collects
Notewarp collects the data needed to run the app, including:
- account data, such as user ID, email address, password authentication handled through Supabase, first name, last name, language, profile picture, profile settings, and last access time;
- note content, such as titles, recordings, audio uploads, transcripts, cleaned notes, generated versions, pasted text, source files, images, imported public URLs, source metadata, attachments, links, tags, folders, pins, and public-link settings;
- AI preferences, such as transcription language, output language, transcription mode, custom vocabulary, favorite languages, writing styles, and preferred writing style;
- subscription data, such as provider, customer ID, subscription ID, product or price ID, status, renewal or cancellation state, App Store app account token, and provider event data needed to keep access in sync;
- notification data, such as OneSignal user or subscription IDs when notification or email notification features are configured;
- technical data, such as auth/session cookies, locale cookie, theme preference, request headers, device/browser information, coarse country used for currency selection, logs, and analytics data if Google Analytics is enabled.
2. How Notewarp Uses Data
Notewarp uses data to:
- create and secure accounts;
- save, sync, search, organize, export, and delete notes;
- transcribe audio, translate transcripts, generate cleaned notes, titles, tags, summaries, action items, email drafts, and custom versions;
- fetch public web links that you provide and reject private network links;
- process subscriptions and enforce Free and Pro access;
- send account, support, billing, or note-ready notifications;
- detect abuse, debug errors, protect security, and comply with law.
3. AI Processing
Notewarp sends the content needed for AI features to OpenAI. That can include audio, transcripts, pasted text, uploaded source files, images, public web-page text, custom vocabulary, language choices, and writing-style instructions. For source-file note generation, Notewarp uploads the file to OpenAI for processing and requests deletion of the temporary OpenAI file after the note is generated.
4. Payments
Stripe handles web payment checkout, billing portals, payment method handling, tax and fraud checks, and web subscription lifecycle events. Apple handles App Store subscriptions and related purchase validation. Notewarp stores the provider identifiers and status needed to grant or remove Pro access.
5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics
Notewarp uses session technology for sign-in, a locale cookie named NOTEWARP_LOCALE, local browser storage for preferences such as theme, and similar technology needed for app functionality. If Google Analytics is configured, the website loads Google Analytics to understand traffic and usage. Notewarp does not use advertising trackers or sell your notes, recordings, or personal information.
6. When Data Is Shared
Notewarp shares data with service providers only as needed to run the app, with payment or app-store providers when you subscribe, with people who open public links you create, when you ask us to export or share content, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Notewarp, or others.
7. Retention and Deletion
Notewarp keeps account, note, source, audio, attachment, subscription, and settings data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Current code stores note audio and attachments until you delete them or delete your account; older audio auto-delete fields have been removed from the current database migrations.
Account deletion removes your Supabase auth user and cascades app records tied to that user, and the deletion flow also removes known profile avatar files, note audio files, recording segments, pending audio upload files, and OneSignal notification records where configured. Some logs, backups, provider records, billing records, or security records may remain for a limited time when required for legal, accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons.
8. Legal Bases for EEA and UK Users
Where GDPR-style laws apply, Notewarp processes personal data to perform the service contract, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate interests such as security and product reliability, and rely on consent where required, such as for optional notifications, microphone access controlled by your device or browser, or certain analytics choices.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can update profile details, email, password, language, theme, transcription preferences, custom vocabulary, writing styles, tags, folders, public links, and notes in the app. You can disable public note links, remove optional shared materials, and delete your account. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, delete, object to, or restrict certain processing of your personal data.
10. Security
Notewarp uses Supabase authentication, row-level security, account-scoped storage paths, signed URLs for private file access, provider webhook verification, and server-side checks for protected routes and API actions. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so keep your password safe and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
11. Children
Notewarp is not intended for children under 13 or for anyone under the minimum age required in their location without appropriate consent. Do not use Notewarp if you are not allowed to agree to these Terms.
12. International Processing
Notewarp and its providers may process data in Italy, the European Union, the United States, and other locations where the providers operate. When required, international transfers should rely on appropriate contractual, legal, or provider safeguards.
